F.A.Q.

How many players do I need to form a team?  Each team is made up of 4 players.

Can I sign up as an individual player? Yes, however we can’t guarantee you a spot.  If 3 other people sign up as individuals we will put you on a team with them on a first come – first served basis.  If there aren’t enough people to form a complete team we will refund your money and we will pass your information to the captains so that you can play as a sub.

I can’t commit to a team, but I would like to be a sub. How can I do that?   Subbing is handled by the captains and the teams.  Get to know one of the captains and let them know you’re available.

What happens if I can’t make it one night? Each team should have a backup plan and 2 or 3 people in mind that can sub for their team.  If no one from your team can make it, you will forfeit that night.

What are the rules to shuffleboard? Each team will be provided with a complete list of the rules and etiquette as they sign up.

Do we need our own pucks? Each bar usually has a set of house weights.  However, we STRONGLY encourage each team to have their own set of good weights.  This will ensure that your team will have consistent equipment from match to match.

What weights do you recommend? The Shuffleboard Federation Pro Series Weights are the best weights available, American Shuffleboard weights are a step down from that, but they are a good set.

What wax is used on league tables? For 18 – 22′ shuffleboard tables we use Ultra Glide T4.  For 14-16′ tables we use Ultra Glide T3.
